EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE ELECTROMAGNETIC SCATTERING CHARACTERISTICS OF A STEALTHY UAV

A low RCS configuration of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is designed with the aim of the RCS reduction in its broadside according to the basic theory of electromagnetic scattering and the principle of low RCS lecto-type.The design of a “canard” configuration with blended fuselage which has elliptical cross section,wing with large swept angle and fringe has been carried out.It is shown from the test results of its electromagnetic scattering characteristics that the configuration has is lower level of 10dB in its broadside RCS than the referenced model.
