Chen Xiangyang Guan Fuling (Civil Engineering Department of Zhejiang University,Hangzhou 310027)  
A deployable hexapod truss,driven by tension springs,is developed for space application in this paper.The most signficant feature is no mechanism to be locked during the deployment.It’s packaging ratio is shown to be good too.A large paraboloid truss antenna is designed by using the deployable hexapod truss and the details of the movable members are introduced.
