NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF SUPERSONIC NONEQUILBRIUM FLOWS FOR H_2/O_2 COMBUSTIONS

Navier-Stokes equations governing the supersonic H2/O2 combustion flows with nonequilibrium chemistry have been solved numerically(Two chemical reaction models,One with two reactions and the other with eight reactions have been adopted. In order to capture the shock wave and detonation wave satisfactorily and over come the stiffness of the individual species continuity equations,the high resolution NND-4 scheme presented by Zhang and the implicit treatment of the chemical source term are used. Results obtained for shock-induced ignitions of 2-D compression corner of ramped duct and sphere are presented. The flow features,such as shock waves,detonation,Von Neumann spike of the density distribution and so on,are given clearly.
