Mandible Restored Immediately After Mandibulectomy in 33 Cases
Guo Qinping et al
It is reported that 33 cases of mandible defects were repaired immediately after mandibulectomy. There were 29 cases repaired with ribs, 3 cases with iliums and 1 cases with wire. After operation, the face form of 33 cases looked very well and occlusal relationship of 31 cases was normal. It was important that oral mucosa and submucosa were sewn tightly and the length of implants must be suitable. The guilding prosthesis may be necessary for keeping occlusal relationship normal after operation. We consider that the ribor ilium is most suitable for the restoration of mandible defects.
