Objective To observe the anti inflammatory and antipyretic effects of TFA. Methods An acute inflammatory model, ear edema induced by dimethylbenzene in mice and a chronical inflammatory model, the generation of granulation tissue induced by sc cotton in rat were adopted to observe the anti inflammatory effect of TFA. In addition, pyretic model evoked by sc turpentine oil or iv escherichia coli liq in rabbit was used to observe the antipyretic effect of TFA. Results TFA(200、100、50 mg/kg) significantly inhibited the ear edema, TFA 50 mg/kg reduced the generation of granulation tissue. TFA caused a decrease of high temperature in rabbit induced by sc turpentine oil or iv escherichia coli liq. Conclusion TFA has satisfactory anti inflammatory and antipyretic effects.
