Zhang Fei, Zhou Ruyuan, Si Li et al (Dept of Cardiovascular Surgery, The 1st AffiliatedHospital of Anhui Medical University, Hefei 230022)
Objective To study the hemorheologic changes and improvement of tetramethylpyrazine on valves replacement of rheumatic heart disease in perioperative period. Methods Fifty patients suffering from rheumatic hear t disease and needing valves replacement were randomly divided into treatment gr oup and control group. Hemorheologic indicators were individually measured in pe rioperative period. Results There were many changes in blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, erythrocyte aggregation index, erythrocyte deformity index in treatment group and control group. In treatment group ,these indicators improved significantly. Conclusion Tetramethylpyrazine plays a role in improving hemorheology, reducing complication, raising operative reliability and suc cess rate and has no obvious side effect on valves replacement of rheumatic hea rt disease in perioperative period.
