The Moderating Effect of Environmental Dynamism on the Relationship Between Organizational Learning and Performance

CHEN Guo-quan,WANG Xiao-hui(School of Economics and Management,Tsinghua University,Beijing 100084,China)  
It puts forward the notion of adjusting lag of organizational learning.Drawing on a sample of 212 Chinese enterprises,it examines the relationships among environmental dynamism,exploratory learning,exploitative learning and organizational performance.The result shows that exploratory learning or exploitative learning is positively associated with organizational performance;the environmental dynamism negatively moderates the relationship between exploratory learning or exploitative learning and organizational performance.Finally,it discusses the implications of the results to the management theory and practice.
