Literature Review on Continuous Endogeneity Mechanism of Organizational Innovation Based on Organizational Routines

LIN Hai-fen;YU Ze-chuan;WANG Tao;Faculty of Management and Economics,Dalian University of Technology;
In recent years,research on organizational routines has gradually achieved an agreement on the concept that organizational routines,as the fundamental feature and also the basic method of realizing organizational tasks and goals,are characterized by self change,and have been consequently treated as the source of organizational innovations. This has challenged the traditional innovation theories that advocate innovation an out-inside and up-down process,by indicating that organizational innovation represents a continuous process of improving management concepts,methods and procedures. Therefore,based on relevant research on organizational routines and its relationship with organizational innovations,it finds that organizational routines' self change and the continuous endogeneity of organizational innovations stem from the core cognitional components of routines-shared schema and common behavior tendency. It set up a relationship model of routines' emergence and evolution with organizational innovation,and explored the continuous endogeneity mechanism of innovation,so as to help set up the down-up innovation theory.
