Improvement of TFT-LCD Area Image Sticking

Image sticking is an intrinsic behavior of TFT-LCD panels.It is the result of their susceptibility to polarization of the liquid crystals when a static image remains displayed on the screen for long time.This polarization affects the optical properties of liquid crystals as it prevents the liquid crystals to return fully to their normal " relaxed " state.The improvement solutions of area image sticking phenomena are mainly discussed through changing the TFT design.Through the experiments design of changing main parameters of TFT-LCD(pixel design,aperture ratio,ΔV p,etc.),4kinds of area image sticking improvement solutions are put forward and corresponding samples are also produced.The leveling of these 4kinds of area image sticking improved samples is evaluated,and the relationship between each pixel design factor and area image sticking level is analyzed.In addition,display quality evaluation is also conducted and finally one better area image sticking improvement solution is obtained after optimizing the solution to improve some display quality issue.
