Brief Analysis of the Factors Affecting Building a Society under the Rule of Law in China

Governing the country by law and constructing a country under the rele of law have become the fundamental policies of China. Rule of law, which is not equal to the legal system characterized by instrumentalism, can not be separated from democracy. But because of the sqecific conditions in China, there still exists a big gap between the ideal and reality of building a society under the rule Of law-- the effect Of the Chinese traditional culture, the defect of the democratic revolution against feudalism, the fault of constructing a socialist country under the rule of law, the weakness in commodity economy as well as the backwardness of cultrue and education. Therefore, we should realize how long and how hard it is to construce a socialist country under the rule of law without unrealistic optimism.
