Analysis and Prevention of Surface Pollution of Aluminum Alloy Heat Exchanger and Baffle Brazed Surface

The darkening and blackening phenomenon of the surface of aluminum alloy baffle mounted on header pipe seriously influences the quality and reliability of micro-channel heat exchanger. By using the means of scanning electron microscope( SEM),metallographic and energy dispersive spectrometer( EDS),etc. and through comprehensive analysis,it is concludes that the main cause for abnormal blackening of the baffle surface is poor welding due to adsorption of oil stain on the baffle surface,and after the oil stain is cracked and oxidized incompletely during the welding warm-up process,irregularities and inclusions appear on the surface,which ultimately causes local blackening. And appropriate suggestions and improvement scheme were proposed from the perspective of process.
