OUYANG Wei.Out-patient Department,No.273 Hospital of PLA,Xinjiang,Karle 841000,China
Objective To observe the effect of antitubercular traditional Chinese medicines and western me-dicines combined with immunoregulcation agents on immune function in patients with diabetes mellitus complicated by pulmonary tuberculosis and the clinical efficacy. Methods 43 patients with diabetes mellitus complicated by pulmonary tuberculosis were randomly divided into treatment group(n=23)and control group(n=20).The patients in both groups were treated with hypoglycemic agents and antitubercular drugs, but in addition to the routine therapy the patients in treatment group were treated with traditional Chinese herb decoction and mycobacterium vacate vaccine, with a treatment course of 3 months for both groups. The changes of T lymphocyte subsets(CD+3、CD+4、CD+4/CD+8)and foci absorption state according to X-ray were observed and evaluated for two groups. Results The levels of T lymphocyte subsets(CD+3、CD+4、CD+4/CD+8)in treatment group were significantly higher than those of control group(P0.05 or P0.01),but there was no obvious change in CD+8(P0.05)and foci absorption state in treatment group was obviously superior to that of control group(P0.05).Conclusion It is difficult to cure the patients with diabetes mellitus complicated by pulmonary tuberculosis, but routine chemotherapy and traditional Chinese medicines combined with mycobacterium vacate vaccine can effectively improve patients' clinical symptoms, enhance immune function and promote foci absorption.
