Objective To research the rh-BNP therapeutic effect in the old patients with the acute decompensated heart failure. Methods 58 patients with acute decompensated heart failure in the geriatric department of our hospital during March 2009 and June 2010.Randomly divided them into two groups,28 patients treated with common therapy and rh-BNP and 30 patients treated with the common therapy and isoket, and then analysed the therapeutic effect and adverse effect. All patients finished the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire(MLHFQ) on the day before treatment. And all the patients wrote the MLHFQ again one month later.Result The clinical symptoms and signs improved more obviously in the rh-BNP qroup than the isoket qroup(P0.05),for the hypotension, there is no significant difference in the two qroups(P0.05),the volume of urine increased more in rh-BNP group than isoket qroup(P0.05),after 1 month.MLHFQ score decreased more in rh-BNP group than isoket qroup(P0.05 ).Conclusion The rh-BNP could rapidly and effectively improve the symptoms and signs of the patients with the acute decompensated heart failure,so it was safe and effective for treating the acute decompensated heart failure.
