Effect of N-acetylcysteine on pulmonary function and inflammatory factors of patients with pulmonary emphysema

Objective To analyze the effect of N-acetylcysteine on pulmonary function and inflammatory factors of patients with pulmonary emphysema. Methods The clinical data of 80 cases of COPD patients with pulmonary emphysema in the emergency department and Department of respiration in Affiliated Hospital of Yangzhou University,from January 2015 to January 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. These patients were divided into conventional treatment group( n = 40) and the conventional treatment with N-acetylcysteine treatment group( combined treatment group,n = 40). According to the treatment methods,the pulmonary function indexes,serum CRP,IL-18,IL-12 levels of the two groups were analyzed. Conclusion N acetyl cysteine can effectively reduce the serum IL-12 level of patients with pulmonary inflammatory reaction,so as to reduce the lung inflammation and improve the lung function of patients.
