Studies on the Nutrition Characteristics of Banana

By analyzing the contents of N,P,K,Ca,Mg and S of banana in Meitai,Hainan province,banana's nutrition characteristic and its most suitable nutrition diagnosis parts were studied.The results showed:(1)The nutrient contents of the banana vary with months and with organs,the nutrient contents in whole banana plant follows the order of KNCaP,Mg,S;PS;before floral initiation SMg,later MgS;P content is similar to Mg in fruit mature period,before which it is PMg.(2)Leaf are identified as the diagnosis parts of nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium and magnesium contents.(3)The ratio of nutrient elements in banana plant is N∶P∶ K∶Ca∶Mg∶S=1∶0.07～0.13∶1.80～3.90∶0.26～0.54∶0.03～0.14∶0.04～0.07.(4)During the stage of reproduction,the N,P,K and S contents of banana drops with increasing of the age regularly.Mg content increases,Ca content is relatively steady.
