A Study of the Chinese Borrowings in Thai,Vietnamese and Burmese

The introduction of Chinese words to the countries of Southeast Asia has enriched their languages.A study of the Chinese borrowings in Thai,Vietnamese and Burmese will reveal the different channels and historical periods of these Chinese borrowings.The paper discusses their cultural backgrounds,basic meanings,positions in their language systems and differences.
