Factors Affecting the Phonological Awareness of LCFL Learners

A great deal of research has been done concerning the relationship between phonological awareness and linguistic ability in psychological linguistics and education psychology of the West.This study focuses on the Chinese phonological awareness development of CFL learners.The results have indicated that the key factors are the different mother tongue and the Chinese level of the learners and there is a clear interaction between the two factors.It has also proved through the analysis of the assignments of the students that their phonemic awareness develops much earlier than that of the Chinese children.
