ZHOU Qun-ying;XIANG Qiao-li;School of Education,Wuhan University of Technology;
In recent years,the popularization of the immersion teaching of Chinese has raised the bar for international Chinese-language teachers and made their job more challenging.More specifically,the country-specific teaching is more pertinent,multidisciplinary teaching is more comprehensive,and the rational appeal of cultural consciousness is stronger.However,the current immersion teaching model has hindered the development of international Chinese-language teachers in the following aspects:a lack of good country-specific textbooks,a frequent turnover of teachers and poor intercultural adaptability.This paper tries to push the development of international Chinese-language teachers by proposing the following suggestions:improving the textbooks,training the native Chinese-language volunteers' adaptability to foreign cultures and cooperating with overseas institutes by offering an academic program for International Chinese Education.
