ISOLATION OF THE SUPRACHIASMATIC NUCLEI:EFFECT ON CIRCADIAN RHYTHMS OF THE TREE SHREW

Effects Were Studied in 9 Tree shrew after SCN Isolation on the Circadian rhythm 1、The Change of the Circadian rhythms was Occured. The locomotor quantity decreased in the light period and increased in the dark period. 2、The Change in locomotor peak period Was Occured. The peak period at the beginning had disappered. 3、After the SCN Was Isolation on eight Tree shrew. The locomotor quantity average reduced 84.7% Comparing with the normal. 4、When the light-dark was reversed The locomotor rhythms desynchronized with the light after SCN Isolation The results indicate That SCN is one of the circadian rhythms pacemakers of the Tree Shrew
