Experimental Study on the Performance of Semiconductor Thermoelectric Generator

The output performance characteristics of the single semiconductor thermoelectric chip,the series and the parallel temperature difference modules were tested.The results showed that the output current,the output voltage and the output power increased with the increase of the temperature difference between the hot and cold ends of the semiconductor thermoelectric generators in all cases.The output voltage of the two-chip model in series was higher than that of single chip and two-chip in parallel.The output current of the two-chip model in parallel was higher than that of the single chip and two-chip in series.The output power of the two-chip model in series was higher than that of the single chip and two-chip in parallel.The output power is 2times of that of single chip.Under the Fresnel concentration,the output current and the output power reached the maximum when the semiconductor temperature difference generator was located about 12 cm ahead the Fresnel mirror with the focal length of 13.1cm.
