Identifying Boarding Stops of Bus Passengers with Smart Cards Based on Intelligent Dispatching Data

To apply smart card data to the analysis of bus passengers' travel characteristics.The paper proposes the method to identify the boarding stops of smart card passengers.Taking the advanced public transportation systems(APTS) of Nanning city in China as an example,the paper collects the operation data of automatic fare collection system and intelligent dispatching system.Then,it establishes APTS data analysis platform applying data warehouse technology.The paper also presents the method of identifying boarding stop by matching the data of intelligent dispatching system and automatic fare collection system.The accuracy of the method is analyzed and the algorithm is illustrated.Finally,the algorithm is tested on mass field data.The results show that the accuracy of identifying boarding stops of smart card passengers reaches more than 98%,the algorithm efficiency meets the requirements of practical application,and the method can be used for the planning and management of public transportation system.
