The reliability analysis for slope stability by perturbation stochastic finite element method

The stochastic finite element method(stochastic FEM)can deal with the variances and spatial correlations of soil properties.This thesis presented the formulation of perturbation stochastic FEM,and the program of calculation.The author derived the assembly method of partial derivative matrix of global stiffness matrix,and applied the orthogonal transformation for correlated normal-distributed random variables to improve the computational efficiency.The reliability analysis model for slope stability using perturbation stochastic FEM was proposed.The reliability indexes of a practical slope stability were obtained,regarding the spatial variations of soil properties(i.e.random fields E,G orυ,c andφ),and the correlations between random fields c andφ,the results obtained by the paper sufficiently agree with the actualities.
