To evaluate the resectebility rate of cardiac cancer or recurrent cardiac cancer in remnant stomach before operation. From 1987 to 1997. 40 cases with cardiac cancer or recurrent cardiac cancer of in remnant stomach underwent operation. Preoperative evaluation of resectebility rate was from three aspects: 1. examinations of image,2. basic disease,3. general condition of patient. In the 40 cases, cardiac cancer of remnent stomach (A group) was 26 cases recurrent cardiac cancer of remnant stomach(B group) was 14 cases, the resectebility rates of A and B group were 69%(18/26) and 85. 7%(12/14) ;the total rate was 75%(30/40). Preoperative e-valuation to focus is very important,it can rise the resectebility rate and reduce the exploratory operation.
