Early Diagnosis Value of Plasma(1-3)-β-D Glucan Detection for Deep Fungal Infection

Objective:To investigate the value of plasma(1-3)-β-D glucan quantitative detection in early diagnosis of deep fungal infection.Methods:To study the value of serum(1-3)-β-D glucan quantitative detection in early diagnosis of deep fungal infection by quantitatively detecting the content of plasma(1-3)-β-D glucan by Rapid Kinetic Detection System of Microbiology MB-80 and Kinetic Mycetes Detection Kit GKT-1M Set,and comparing to traditional fungal culture method.Results:We detected 58 patients who are suspected to deep fungal infection.There are 40 patients with positive results of plasma(1-3)-β-D glucan quantitative detection and the positive rate is 68.97%,the content is(70.25±48.88)pg/ml while there are 18 patients with negative results and the content is(8.53±2.32)pg/ml.Analyze the data by t-test,the content of positive group is significantly higher than that of negative group(t=2.023,P0.05);29 patients are detected positive by traditional fungal culture method and the positive rate is 50.00%,therefore,the positive rate of plasma(1-3)-β-D glucan quantitative detection is significantly higher than that of traditional fungal culture method(χ2=33.621,P0.05).Conclusion:Plasma(1-3)-β-D glucan quantitative detection is a simple,convenient,rapid and high positive rate method to early diagnosis of deep fungal infection.
