Comparison of PET/MRI with other molecular imaging techniques

Objective:To compare dual-model PET/MRI with other molecular imaging techniques.Methods:Molecular imaging techniques,which combined the progress of molecular medicine and imaging technology,has promoted the development of medical science.Single-and multi-model molecular imaging techniques mainly include PET/MRI,Optimal imaging,PET/CT,SPECT/CT,SPECT/MRI and Ultrasound molecular imaging.We reviewed the applications of these molecular imaging techniques in the field of pre-clinical research and clinical trials.Results:The charming advantages of dual-model PET/MRI are in the area of oncology,cardiology and neurology,and plenty of molecular information had been provided by it.Conclusion:The progress of multi-model molecular imaging equipments will promote the whole medical science.PET/MRI could reveal more unknown mysterious for us.
