The application of ultrasonic diagnostic equipment in arteria-venous fistulas in patients with uremia

Objective: To evaluate the application value of high-frequency ultrasound in monitoring artificial arteria-venous fistulas in patients with uraemia. Methods: Fifty-five patients were examined and analyzed by CDFI and 2D. Results: Among 55 patients, 47 cases showed good filling state of the vessel, diameters of fistulas were 4.5~7.4 mm, fistulas had colorful mosaic blood with high velocity and low resistance index.3 cases with stenosis, 2 cases with thrombus,1 case with false aneurysm and 2 cases with venous dilatation. Conclusion: High-frequency ultrasound plays an important role in observing the vessels diameters, echoes and real-time analyzing hemodynamic parameters, which is helpful to the detection and management of complications.
