On the Competence-oriented Mathematics Teaching and Examination for Engineering Students

Competence-oriented teaching helps students get prepared for certain tasks with knowledge and skills advanced. A precisely put learning outcome and a transparent alignment of teaching and examination are prerequisites for successful learning. The paper outlines how to apply these principles to mathematics courses for engineering students.
