The effect of Cimetidine on large intestinal cancer

Cimetidine is an antagonist of H2 receptor. Recently, many investigation indicate that Cimetidine can antagonize the effect of histamine on large intestinal cancer cell, enhance the function of immune system, oppose large intestinal cancer by blocking the expression of E - selectin - 1 on the surface of endothelial cell, so can be conducted as the assistant therapy of large intestinal cancer, to improve the survival rate of large intestinal cancer patients.
