Parametric Modeling and Sealing Performance Analysis for Glyd-ring Seals Based on Abaqus/CAE

This article deals with Abaqus/CAE kernel script and GUI second development, though developing a kernel script, to establish a friendly graphical user interface, and create a special module for finite element numerical analysis of Glyd-ring seals. This module realize the function of the automated modeling, analyzing and calculating, and accessing output database. Through this second development module, calculating and analyzing to Glyd-ring of sealing performance. The results show that : under the action of medium pressure, the maximum contact stress of Glyd-ring seals is greater than medium pressure, meeting the sealing conditions. Because of less squeeze gap phenomenon, and friction of the sliding surface is small, Glyd-ring seals has a good dynamic sealing.
