Evaluation of Uncertainty for determination of V element in TC4 ELI titanium alloy with ICP-AES

Objective To evaluate the uncertainty in measurement of V element in TC4 ELI titanium alloyfor surgical implant with ICP-AES. Methods the mathematical model was established according to JJF1059-1999 Evaluation and Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement.The source of uncertainty was analyzed, and the components of standard uncertainty and combined standard uncertainty were calculated. Results the uncertainty in measurement of V element in TC4 ELI titanium alloy for surgical implant was determined to be 0.048%. Conclusions The evaluation of uncertainty can obtain the accuracy of result of determination of V element in TC4 ELI titanium alloy with ICP-AES,and assure the detection quality of medical devices made of TC4 ELI titanium alloy.
