Fast fabrication of porous anodic aluminum oxide template

A new method was proposed for the fast preparation of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) template.By a two-step increase of anodizing potential process,the AAO was successfully synthesized using 0.3 mol·L-1 oxalic acid solution and applying potentials of 120 V at 0 ℃.The research showed that the speed of the film growth was 1.1 μm·min-1 under this condition,which was near twenty times higher than the voltage(50 V) used in conventional oxalic acid anodization,and the pore diameter of the template could been altering from 40 nm to 120 nm by controlling the time of the chemical etching with 0.8 mol·L-1 phosphoric acid solution.
