Coefficient design for combination pulse based on the Gaussian pulse derivatives

Pulse shaping of the UWB signal makes the pulse waveform meet the emission mask ruled by the administration government.The derivatives of Gaussian pulse are used as base functions of the linear combination to design the pulse,which accords with the power spectrum density requirement.Two different approaches,such as random coefficient combination and the coefficient combination based on LSE,are employed to choose the combination coefficients,the best combination coefficient is made certain according to the FCC UWB indoor spectral mask.The simulation results show that the power spectrum density of the combined pulses,which is obtained through two coefficient combination ways,approaches to the FCC UWB indoor spectral mask.Furthermore,the coefficient combination based on LSE has a better approaching effect and makes full use of the spectrum.
