Design on a one-dimensional photonic crystal high reflector in near-infrared region

The author investigates the design of high reflector based on one-dimensional photonic crystal of heterostructure in near-infrared spectrum(1 000~2 000 nm).Two kinds of common materials(TiO2 and SiO2) are selected to construct the one-dimensional photonic crystal of heterostructure and transfer matrix method is adopted to calculate the reflectance.The reflection spectra of the incident transverse magnetic(TM) wave and transverse electric(TE) wave are analyzed by numerical simulation.The result shows that one-dimensional photonic crystal of heterostructure possesses a high reflectance in near-infrared spectrum(more than 0.999 98) when the incident angles of TM and TE wave are 0°~20° and 0°~25°,respectively.The high reflector with a wide band-gap is designed to adapt to the need of adjustable infrared gas lasers and semiconductor infrared adjustable device resonator,and it can be used in all kinds of near infrared spectrograph to replace the traditional reflectors.
