Experimental research on fly ash rheology of coal mine fire resistance slurry

To solve the problem of poor pumpability,easy sedimentation and bad thixotropy of slurry for using organic thickener,a kind of inhibitor slurry,of which aggregates are fly ash,diatomite and aluminosilicate inorganic thickener,was developed. Effects of aggregate component ratio,density,water-cement ratio and temperature on viscosity of slurry were studied by means of NXS-11 B rotary viscosimeter. And slurry flow characteristics were analyzed by comparing the changes in viscosity and shear stress. The results show that diatomite can improve slurry suspension,the best proportion of fly ash to diatomite is 10∶ 3,that slurry viscosity increases with concentration increasing,and decreases with improving water-cement ratio or temperature,that bentonite thickener has a good thixotropy property,when thickener concentration is3%- 4%,water-cement ratio is 3∶ 1,slurry liguidity is better,which facilitates slurry pumping,and that slurry is non-Newtonian fluid with shear-thinning properties.
