Clinical Observation of 5-Fliorouracil Combined with Interleukin-Ⅱ in the Treatment of 49 Patients with Cervial Condyloma Acuminita

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of 5-Fliorouracil (5-FU) used in vagina combined with Interleukin-Ⅱ (IL-2) injection in the treatment of cervical condyloma acuminata (CA).Methods 49 patients with cervical CA in the study group were treated with 2.5% 5-FU in vagina once per day for 4 days and intramuscular injection of IL-2 (2.0×10 5 IU) once per day for two weeks.46 patients in the control group were treated with CO 2 laser and IL-2 injection. The schemes of IL-2 injection were the same in the two groups. Results The difference of cure rate was significant( P 0.01) between the study group (86.9%) and the control group (45.4%). Conclusion The treatment is effective and safe. It’s especially suitable for patients with recurrent cervical CA who have no contraindications and have difficulty in CO 2 laser therapy.
