A Case of Multiple Cutaneous Piloleiomyomas Treated with Triamcinolone Acetonide Local Injection

A 42-year-old male presented with cutaneous papules and nodules of the left lower limb over the past 16 years and pain of large nodules for 5 years. Histopathologic diagnosis was cutaneous piloleiomyoma. The patient was started on many trials without any relief from pain of the lesions. Then he was started on a trial of local injection of triamcinolone acetonide into the painful nodules for 3 times, once a week, the nodules became smaller and the pain disappeared. During the 1-year’s follow-up, there were no recurrence of pain and no enlargement of the nodules.
