The Acceptation of Indian Culture as the Same Source by Ancient Chinese Opera and Novel: A Case Study of the Wedge-Text Structure

The structure of most of the chapter-novel in Ming and Qing dynasties,the imitation scrip for story-telling in late Ming and the scrip for story-telling in Song and Yuan dynasties is the narrative structure of the wedge-text. And such is the structure of the opera since Song and Jin dynasties. The structure of Chinese novel has been influenced by the Buddhist preaching; and the structure of Chinese opera by the Sanskrit drama. Ancient Chinese novel and opera interacted in the development. The structures of both Buddhist preaching and Sanskrit drama are exactly the same,which are from the Indian vocal art.
