Liang Zongdai's Perspectives on Translation: Correspondances in Conflicts

Zhong Weihe;Chen Qing;
Liang Zongdai is a great poet,scholar and translator in modern Chinese literary history. Although his translations have enjoyed the highest reputation, little academic efforts have been given to his views and philosophies on translation. By comprehensively probing into his translation activities,related paratexts and metatexts,literary works,poetics theories and his life experiences,this paper reveals that Liang's overall views on translation are of inter-subjectivity theory as he upholds "Correspondence"in conflicting relationships between author and translator,translator and selves,translator and texts as well as readers.
