Chemical constituents in bark of Pseudolarix kaempferi

Objective To study the constituents in the n-butanol extract in the bark of Pseudolarix kaempferi. Methods The compounds were isolated by repeated chromatography and their structures were identified on the basis of spectral methods, chemical analysis, and reference to the literature data. Results A new methyl benzoate allopyranoside, pseudolaroside C, together with 14 known compounds (Ⅱ-ⅩⅤ) were isolated from the bark of P. kaempferi for the first time, such as shikimic acid (Ⅱ), methyl shikimate (Ⅲ), ononin (Ⅳ), calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (Ⅴ), 2′-hydroxynaringenin (Ⅵ), jasminoside E (Ⅶ), roseoside Ⅱ (Ⅷ), icariside B5 (Ⅸ), blumenol C glucoside (Ⅹ), 1, 2-O-isopropylidene-O-β-D-fructopyranose (Ⅺ), methyl O-β-D-frucopyranoside (ⅩⅡ), and methyl O-β-D-frucofuranoside (ⅩⅢ). Conclusion Compound Ⅰ is a new compound named as pseudolaroside C, compounds Ⅱ-ⅩⅢ are isolated and identified from this plant for the first time.
