FUZZY H∞ VIBRATION CONTROL OF PIEZOELECTRIC FLEXIBLE STRUCTURES WITH GEOMETRICAL NON-LINEARITY

The Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model for flexible thin plates made of piezoelectric materials as actuators/sensors is developed in order to approximate the geometrically nonlinear dynamic characteristics.Based on the fuzzy model,a fuzzy H∞ dynamic output feedback control law is designed to suppress the vibration due to the external disturbance by using linear matrix inequality technique.Finally,the validity of the approach is illustrated by an example.The result shows that the vibration of plate structure with geometrical non-linearity is suppressed by using fuzzy H∞ dynamic output feedback control based on the structural T-S fuzzy model,which is less complex in computation and can be practically implemented.
