DAMAGE IDENTIFICATION OF CORRODED RC BEAMS WITH DYNAMIC TEST METHOD

Dynamic tests of five simply supported reinforced concrete (RC) beams with lumped masses are presented. Based on the test results, the effect of corrosion damage on the dynamic characters of corroded test beams is analyzed. In addition, the differences between the effects of corrosion damage and bending crack on the dynamic characters are analyzed. Modal shape curvature method is proposed to identify the damage location and successful results are provided.
