ANALYSIS OF VERTICAL ASYMMETRICAL HYSTERETIC CHARACTERISTIC FOR A WIRE-ROPE VIBRATION ISOLATOR

In order to analyze the influence of the isolator structure on the vertical hysteretic characteristic, a simplified model without dry friction for a wire-rope vibration isolator is established and its structural load characteristic is examined. Dimensionless processing is adopted to compare the theoretical hysteretic curve with the test one. The result shows that the nonlinear resilience of the vertical hysteretic characteristic roots in the large deformation of the transverse helix structure, which leads to the asymmetrical changing of the vertical hysteretic curve. Finally, the structure modulating process for an asymmetrical hysteretic model is analyzed, by which the different functions of the modelating terms and the relation between the modulating terms and the structural load characteristic are illustrated.
