RECONSTRUCTION OF THE VELOCITY FIELD FOR CYLINDRICAL DOUBLE SHELLS BASED ON FREQUENCY RESPONSE FUNCTIONS

In order to calculate underwater radiation from cylindrical shell, and based on the method of noise monitoring by accelerometers, the reconstructing method of the velocity field around outer surface of cylindrical shell is investigated. At first, the frequency response functions of double shells are measured and estimated and then the vibration transmissibility between the double shells is obtained by calculating the M-P inverse of frequency response function. Thereby the velocity at the surface of outer shell can be reconstructed by the signals of accelerometers on inner shell, which is the input for calculating underwater radiation. The results of vibration tests of big cylindrical shells show reconstructed velocity field by the method is satisfied for calculating underwater radiation.
