CRASH SIMULATION OF FLEXIBLE FLUID-FILLED CONTAINER BASED ON ARBITRARY LAGRANGIAN-EULERIAN FORMULATION METHOD

The multi-material arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian concept is applied to fluid-structure interaction problems in consideration of its ability to control mesh geometry independently from material geometry. The governing equation of the method is explained and a possible way of solution is presented. Then, the three-dimensional simulation of flexible fluid-filled container crash is completed based on ALE method and the dynamic behavior of the container during crash is analyzed, which will provide important reference for the design of flexible containers.
