Vibration analysis of shafting of high speed permenant magnetic machinery

The high speed machinery,due to its small size,high power density,high efficiency and being able to meet the economy development needs of low-carbon and energy saving,is one of the great concerns in electrical engineering.Vibration is the bottleneck of stable operation of high-speed machinery.The vibration sources of rotor in permanent magnet(PM) machine include mainly the centrifugal force generated by eccentricity and the unbalanced magnetic pull.The FEA combined with Newmark method was used to calculate the non-linear unbalance response due to unbalanced forces.The simulation results for vibrations under different frequencies were verified by tests.Studies show that the vibration frequency components of the machine are mainly the fundamental frequency component caused by eccentricity and the component of 10 times the fundamental frequency due to unbalanced magnetic pull caused by dynamic eccentricity.Vibration amplitude of double frequency component is more significant.The corresponding measures to reduce vibration were proposed accordingly.
