Stability control of a coupled nonlinear torsional vibration system

Considering the nonlinear stiffness of a torsional vibration system with three degrees of freedom,a nonlinear torsional vibration equation containing coupled terms was established.With time-delay control,the method of multiple scales was employed to obtain the analytical solutions of time-delay dynamic system when primary resonance and 1∶1 internal resonance occur simultaneously.The necessary and sufficient conditions of the stability of system were deduced by using the Routh-Hurwitz criterion.Moreover,the stability of the coupled system was well-controlled by choosing appropriate time-delay parameters,and the numerical results were presented to confirm the analytical predictions.
