Muzzle response of self-propelled antiaircraft gun on the move in consideration of clearance betweentrunnion and bearing

In order to study the impact of clearance between trunnion and bearing on the muzzle response of antiaircraft gun on the move,a computational collision methodology was improved based on Lankarani-Nikravesh law and was used to describe the constraint relation between trunnion and bearing with different clearances. The flexibility of barrel was considered and the stochastic road irregularities were created by sinusoid superposition method to establish a rigidflexible coupling dynamic model of self-propelled antiaircraft gun. According to the numerical calculation,the dynamic muzzle responses of the gun when firing on the move were obtained and compared with those by using the ideal constraint model. The results indicate that the collision between trunnion and bearing has a certain impact on elevation angle and direction angle and the effect on direction angular velocity is most obvious. The results provides a basis for grasping the impact rules of backlash nonlinearity on muzzle responses of self-propelled antiaircraft gun on the move.
