The pyroshock simulation test on the ground is usually achieved through a hanging test. In the test, two separation parts are connected by explosive bolts, and the pretightening force of explosive bolts may have influence on impulse response during a pyroshock event. The pretightening force determined by the tightening torque and the weight of the lower separation part were considered as two important influential factors in the investigation. A FE numerical simulation and a hanging test were carried out. Different tightening torques and separation part weights were considered. The experimental results were analyzed both in time and frequency domain. Both the simulation and experimental results indicate that the influence of thoses two factors is limited in the mid-field and far-field of the bolts explosion.
