Stability of a hydro-turbine governing system under stochastic fluctuating speed

To further study the problem of the stability of a hydro-turbine governing system,a new model considering the influence of stochastic fluctuating speed was proposed based on the mathematical model of rigid water hammer. Using the Chebyshev polynomial approximation,the stochastic hydro-turbine governing system was transformed into a deterministic system equivalently. From numerical simulations,the dynamic behavior of the similarities and differences of the stochastic system and the original system were presented. The dynamic behavior responses of the stochastic system were analyzed and different values of the PID parameter were also presented. These results provide important reference for stable operation of a hydropower station.
