A new method for determining the sensitivity of a n-th order eigen-system with repeated eigenvalues has been successfully developed.The solution method proposed in the analysis is based on the Moors-Penrose generalized inverse technique.This approach only requires the knowledge of the eigenvalue and its associated eigenvector for a given eigen-system. This method is adressed to the case where the repeated eigenvalues have distinct sensitivities. A Numerical example is presented to verify the analysis.This method can be a viable technique to compute eigen-sensitivity of complex structural system which has repeated eigenvalues.
